The “fotopub†Portfolio Review is one of the key events of the festival. It enables young, under-the-radar artists working in the photographic context to present their work to some of the leading industry professionals.
Between August 7th & 8th the participants will hold a 20-minute meeting with each of the invited reviewers and have their work discussed. One artist with the most outstanding portfolio will be awarded the “fotopub†Portfolio Prize, which results in the winner’s exhibition during the next edition of the festival. In addition to the main award, “fotopub†partners and supporters will personally offer new opportunities to some of the artists. These can include exhibitions, publications, residencies and others.
“fotopub†is inviting young artists working in a photographic context to apply for a place at the Portfolio Review. In addition to the 23 artists already presenting their work in different exhibitions of this year’s festival “fotopub†curatorial team will select up to 15 artists from the open call. Each of the participating artists will hold meetings with every reviewer and is a legible candidate for the Portfolio Prize.
