Domestic Objects is comprised of still life photographs and sculptures investigating the image as an everyday occurrence. These works posit the photograph as a physical thing that follows us from our homes to outside in the commercial and art worlds. This ongoing transformation of the photograph always ends within our minds and our rooms. Household fixtures, functional objects, and other substances (plants, food, rocks) become materials to alter the boundaries and meanings images. By utilizing these images as part of my process and as a final product, I am able to translate the everyday materials that can effect us most acutely into newfound photographs and image-objects.
